Blake was the first on his block to own a scooter
(city actually) in 1981--a Rally 180. Unlike the
numerous service shops for Vespas that exist
now, he had to take his to the local Harley shop
and beg for help. He began to wonder if he was the only
person who had any taste. Since Santa Barbara didn't have
much of a scooter scene, Blake decided to create his own with
his fellow bandmates (The Consumers). Then they discovered
a flourishing scooter scene in L.A. Unfortunately,
life had other
plans for Blake, and he found himself travelling around
the world for the next 15 years or so in unfriendly scooter
places like New York City. Finally, he found himself
in the very scooter friendly town of San Francisco. After
begging & begging his wife to give him some spending
money, she finally relented and let him buy a P200.
While not exactly his beloved Rally 180, it was at
least a Vespa and he is happy.

San Francisco has also seen Blake reunited with his former scooterists and band members in HELIUM ANGEL. Look for them at future scooter rallies--if not playing, they'll at least be riding.
